TRADITIONAL TANNERY
Traditional seraji art was common in Iran before the Mongol invasion in the 21st century AD. With the Mongol invasion, seraji art lost its prosperity. This art came back again a few years later. It flourished in the cities of Tabriz and Shiraz, but after a few many years, this Iranian art expanded and was found in the city of Hamedan. It flourished more from there.
Animal skin is very perishable and vulnerable after separation, but with tanning (peeling skin) it reaches a state of stability; retains its nature and is non-perishable and resistant to time and other vulnerable elements. It is noteworthy that leather tanning is not done industrially or in in factories. It was done with traditionally tanned leather and is still used today.
WHAT IS TRADITIONAL SADDLE?
Traditional seraji has been flourishing in Iran since ages and it is considered as one of the oldest and most original Iranian arts. As animal husbandry has been practiced in Iran for a long time, preparing animal skin is not a difficult task for them. Animal skin tanners buy and tan the skins easily. Animal skin tanning goes through a total of eleven stages and then only then processed leather is available to consumers and producers. Essential and decorative items are also produced after that.
WHY ARE WE SPECIAL?
We do our work from zero to one hundred manually, from pattern designing, then cutting work, which is done by the tools mentioned in the previous paragraph, and sewing work, which is completely hand-sewn and does not use any thick sewing wheels. Our insistence that the work is completely hand-embroidered is because hand-made work has a longer life and the stitches do not open, and most importantly, you can have the model you want in any color and size you want.
It is worth mentioning that you, dear customer, by giving a photo and dimensions of your choice, you can have the best bag in terms of sewing quality and sewing elegance, a single job and having no sample, which is an advantage.
